Gideon B. Gabriel is a seasoned management consultant with over 17 years of expertise in the financial services sector, specializing in risk management, process optimization, and strategic planning. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance (Hons) from the University of Dar es Salaam and completed the New Managers Executive Development Program at the University of Cape Town. In addition, he is a Chartered Digital Finance Practitioner (CDFP) from the Digital Frontiers Institute, a Certified Training Professional accredited by the Finance Accreditation Agency, Malaysia, and a Certified Microfinance Professional from the Boulder Institute of Microfinance, ILO, Italy.
Throughout his career, Gideon has led major strategic initiatives. He spearheaded the development of financial access strategies for CRDB Microfinance and its subsidiaries, optimizing operational processes to enhance efficiency and risk management. His expertise in capacity building has been demonstrated through the training and coaching of 900+ Board Members, 550 professionals, and 650,000 customers, significantly strengthening their financial and operational capabilities. Additionally, he played a key role in securing $20 million in grants and concessional loans, expanding financial access to underserved communities.
Since joining AML Finance, Gideon has been instrumental in strategic planning, risk management, and compliance. His contributions include developing and refining process maps and workflows to enhance operational efficiency, strengthening internal policies and controls for improved risk management, and providing business advisory support to optimize credit risk strategies and regulatory compliance. His leadership continues to drive AML’s commitment to operational excellence and sustainable growth.
His industry recognition includes serving as a Board Member of AEL Financial Services (2021–2025) and as a Technical & Steering Committee Member for the FinScope Survey 2017 under FSDT, Tanzania.
