CREDIT MANAGER

Yusuph Kuwa is a seasoned credit management professional with over a decade of experience in the financial sector. He holds a degree in Business Computer Information Systems with a specialization in Business Studies. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated exceptional expertise in credit operations, portfolio growth, and risk management.

His career began at Letshego Bank Tanzania, where, as a fresh Credit Officer, he played a pivotal role in driving significant growth in the individual loan portfolio. He then advanced to Senior Relationship Manager at Mwanga Hakika Bank, where he spent several years leading initiatives that expanded the loan book while successfully reducing non-performing loans. Following this, he transitioned into a supervisory and managerial role at the same institution, where he further enhanced branch loan performance and mitigated credit risk.

Currently serving as Credit Manager at AML Finance, Yusuph has been instrumental in driving substantial growth. Under his leadership, the company’s loan portfolio has expanded significantly, while the Portfolio at Risk (PAR) has been effectively reduced. Beyond portfolio growth and risk reduction, he has played a key role in talent development, mentoring Credit Officers into Relationship Managers and guiding Relationship Managers into senior leadership roles.
