Anyelwisye Mwakatobe is a highly accomplished finance and banking professional with over 20 years of experience in the financial sector. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from the University of Dar es Salaam and is a Certified Public Accountant – CPA (T). Additionally, he has earned the ACI Settlement Certificate from the Financial Markets Association, specializing in Treasury Operations for banks and financial institutions.

Currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of AML, Anyelwisye has a distinguished career spanning Finance, Treasury Operations, Banking Operations, Credit Collateral Management, Internal Controls, Reconciliations, ICT, Physical Security, and Microfinancing.

He began his banking career in 2003 as a Bank Officer, steadily rising through the ranks to hold key leadership positions, including Acting Managing Director in 2020. His expertise extends across Tier 1 and Tier 2 financial institutions, as categorized by the Bank of Tanzania, encompassing multinational corporations, government-owned banks, and private financial institutions.

A seasoned banker and strategic leader, Anyelwisye is recognized not only for his technical expertise but also for his role as a mentor and coach to emerging professionals in the financial sector. His deep industry knowledge, operational acumen, and commitment to excellence make him an invaluable asset to the organization and the broader financial ecosystem.
